Please, DON’T Think Of The Children

You know, I’m not normally one to say ‘leave people alone’ who are probably doing bad things, but seriously, maybe we should leave these polygamists alone. Why? Well, eventually, they’ll inbreed themselves into extinction. On top of that, studies have shown that genetic disorders of all sorts plague these kinds of people. (Well, any kind, actually. Amish folks suffer the same kind of effects due to the small gene puddle.) Sooner or latter, without any ‘fresh’ genes at their disposal, they’ll run into all kinds of issues that will make sure no one will ever want them as a spouse. (Or otherwise, ew!)

Though, to be clear, I’m not totally against polygamy, as I wouldn’t be against communism if it were done right, in the right situation. Never the less though, it’s not exactly like our world is needing any help with it’s population, right? On top of that, exiling young men who are an ‘excess,’ and marying 13-year-olds has the feeling of a cult, doesn’t it? They are, in essence, trying to breed their own population, that are brain-washed to believe what they want. That’s pretty dangerous no matter how you look at it. Then again, who would listen to someone who has uncontrolable drooling due to a genetic disorder? (OK, maybe these people would!)
