How I Feel About It
First, I feel sorrow for Britney. Loosing her kids must be a crushing blow. (I’m assuming, at least.) Most parents just can’t live without their kids being in their lives in some shape, form or fashion. Maybe, if she doesn’t go further into the deep end, this will finally be a wake up call to her that something in her life just isn’t right. Maybe she’ll take some steps that I previously recommended?

Then, I feel a bit of anger. At the time I’m writing this, it’s breaking news. Soon enough, I’m sure all of the people who claim she’s ‘bat-shit crazy’ will come out of the woodwork and say just how wonderful this is. I’m also fairly certain people will then speculate how she feels about the situation, stalking her every where she goes. That’s just wrong. The last thing Britney needs at the moment is more stalking by the paparazzi. Again, she needs to be left alone. Maybe let her make a small statement about the situation, but leave it at that.

Lastly, I feel a bit of hope. I truly hope this marks as a turning point for Britney’s life. Although I’m not an uber-fan of her like perhaps Chris Crocker is, I did enjoy her music and performances. (For what they were at least.) More importantly, she’s a human being. When you take away the fame, fortune, and all of that other crap we associate with being a ’star,’ she’s a 25 year-old, young woman. She needs help, yes, but there are lots of other people who are much, much worse.

What I’d Like To Know…
Of course, since at this point it’s ‘breaking’ news, I have not yet seen why the judge decided against Britney. And although I have a good idea that it was probably due to her recent history, I’d still like to know if there were any issues we as the public have not yet heard of. It will certainly be interesting if there were other, unknown factors that contributed to the choice of the judge that makes us look at the situation differently. I’ll keep this particular post updated if that indeed comes to light.

Update!
Well, it looks like there was an unspecified oral motion made by Federline’s lawyers in a closed-door hearing. The judge won’t tell us what, and is ordering the transcripts sealed. Surprise, surprise. However, if it’s so damning, maybe it should be left under lock & key. Maybe Britney can start to move on now?
